The WiMHome system allows to continuously monitor the domestic environment, generating a feedback about the activity regularity of (elderly) person living alone and signaling any anomaly (fall, emergency call, bed leave, apartment leaving, ...). The system is based on wireless technology, to minimize the invasiveness of installation. By using small environmental and personal sensors, regular and irregular behavior profiles can be distinguished. Furthermore punctual alarm signaling (smoke/CO, flooding, emergency call, fall). All critical signals are sent to the appointed receiver (family member or assistant) using a phone call: it is possible, moreover, to have access to the continuous monitoring via the web application, thus having access to all events and associated details. The system is especially suited for elderly people in need for supervision.
